On the lighter note of worthless garbage, I have found evidence that a supposed cheery-dispositioned Southern woman on the Food Network is trying to kill everyone! I am talking about Paula Deen, and I believe she is trying to kill America through over-consumption of butter. Have you seen that television commercial for I Can't Believe It's Not Butter called 'The Buttertons'? Well, that idyllic 50s American family chomping down on large sticks of butter protruding from mama's homemade bread and baked potatoes isn't a far exaggeration of Paula Deen's Food Network program.

Seriously, Paula Deen has some type of strange infatuation with butter. Sure, butter is great stuff. Good for cooking, baking, and a little smudge on a slice of warm bread. But when butter becomes your main ingredient, then that goes beyond the realm of cooking into cardiac terrorism! Behold, Paula's Fried Butter Balls recipe!

Scott, as a Southerner, allow me to enlighten you at once. Butter is our medium-- some people use oils, paints, and fine words to express themselves and their culture. Not us. We prefer greese and butter. Go look up the fatest states in the nation-- I bet you can guess who they are.
ReplyDeleteI love Paula Deen! She reminds me of my grandmother. I remember her cooking like it was yesterday. Everything had butter and there was nothing wrong about it being the main ingredient. Let's face it, my tortillas and beans don't taste like they use to...
