APWA

The Public Works department of Queen Creek may be undergoing a real change in the coming years. The idea has been presented for the Town to obtain the American Public Works Association (APWA) self-assessment accreditation, a process which could take, from start to finish, four years.

There is a very thick manual linking requirement for nearly every aspect of public works, laying out specific best management practices. If you're interested, follow this link and it can explain more:

Right now I'm in the process of contacting Greeley, Colorado and Mohave County, Arizona to ask for their certification information to see where we should start. This will definitely be an interesting endeavor for the Town.
